Meet the Artists
Said Kendall of D.
“D.” (the balding guy in the apron) has background experience in metal work, engineering design, and graphics. Combining his skills has lent itself well to the development of our more complex designs. He spends most his days in the studio hammering and assembling our products as well as occasionally torch cutting the copper.
Said D. of Kendall:
The lady of my life, daughter of an artist, worked as a registered nurse for many years but has always had a creative flair. She does the majority of the torch cutting of the copper and occasionally hammers and assembles some pieces, before zooming off to deal with our local gallery operations. She is also the grand poobah of our financial affairs.
Said a friend:
Most of their designs are the result of a collaborative effort between the two. D.’s mechanical engineering experience combined with Kendall’s love of the decorative arts blend well allowing them to execute, beyond their expectations, and mine, any design requests they have encountered so far.
Nanny (Kendall’s mom) contributed concepts and created the realistic eyes for some of the fish until we lost her in October 2003.
Say We:
Our goal is to continually strive to design and create more beautiful pieces from a noble metal for the enjoyment of others who apparently appreciate its beauty as much as we do.
